Justice is investigating the death of a 26-year-old woman who fell from a second-floor window in the city of La Plata after an argument with her partner, who is now in custody. Police sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the incident occurred at the intersection of Diagonal 76 and Calle 22, in the La Loma neighborhood. The victim, identified as Rocío Alvarito, suffered serious injuries after falling. She was urgently taken to the Rossi Hospital, where her death was confirmed. Meanwhile, the on-duty prosecutor, Álvaro Garganta, ordered the arrest of Marcos Ariel García (26) on charges of “aggravated homicide by kinship” (femicide). A neighbor stated that there was an argument between the two and that they were alone in the apartment they occupied. Furthermore, the suspect defended himself to the police, stating that she threw herself and that he did not influence her decision. However, the 11th Prosecutor's Office decided that he will remain in the Fourth Police Station while evidence is added to the criminal case, and it is expected that García will give a statement in criminal court.
